First Female Member of Parliament in Pakistan

The first constituent assembly of Pakistan, which had 69 members had only two women members, Begum Shaista Suhrawardy Ikramullah and Begum Jahanara Shahnawaz. They served the assembly from 1947 to 1954 and were the first female members of Pakistan Parliament.

There was no representation of women in the Second Constituent Assembly which had 72 members who served from 1955 to 1958.
