India Gate is located in New Delhi, India. It is a war memorial which was originally named as All India War Memorial. The memorial bears resemblance in its architectural design to the Gateway of India in Mumbai and Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
India Gate was designed and built by Sir Edwin Lutyen in 1921. Foundation stone of the gate was laid by the Duke of Connaught on 10 February 1921.
