The national symbol of Pakistan also known as coat of arms contains a crescent and star, a shield containing four crops’ symbols, a floral wreath of Poet’s Jasmine and a scrolling reading.

The green color of the national emblem of Pakistan is taken from the national flag of the country. Star and crescent in the emblem represent Islam and the shield contains symbols of four major crops of the country which are Cotton, Jute, Tea and Wheat.  Similarly the floral wreath of Poet’s Jasmine represents the Mughal heritage and the scrolling reading below the floral wreath contains the motto of Pakistan which is Faithm Unity and Discipline (Iman/Emaan, Itehad, Nazm).

It is also important to note that the national emblem of Pakistan was adopted in 1954.
