Population annual growth rate means the rate at which population of a country or of an area increases per year. This rate is expressed in percentage.
Pakistan conducted its most recent population census in March, 2017. According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics report, based on 2017 census data, the total population of Pakistan is over 207 million. Similarly the data also revealed the annual population growth rate of the country. According to data of PBS (Pakistan Bureau of Statistics) the annual growth rate of population of Pakistan is 2.4 per cent.
As per 2017 census report, Pakistan is considered as world’s fifth largest country on the basis of population.
