The total number of censuses done in Pakistan so far is Six.
The government of Pakistan conducted its most recent population census in March 2017, which was last in the series of sixth. The list of previously censuses done in Pakistan is given below.

- Population Census of 1972
- Population Census of 1961 and
- Population Census of 1951
The last census was conducted in the country nearly after 19 years of the previously conducted census. Major reasons for this delay were the unwillingness of previous governments and unstable political conditions in the country.
